Anadromy and plate margins

Multiple species of anadromous fish have evolved on some of the planet’s most active landscapes: at convergent plate boundaries where landscape-scale disturbances are common, but “patchy” in time and space.

The guys up at Seattle nailed it: Waples et al. (2008).
